I have been using Mobil 1 on all my cars for a decade. If you are going to swap out fluid and filter, then take the trip, I would do synth ATF with the full TC drain. Run it the 2k miles, which should loosen up and flush old gunk, then drain when you get home. Fill with synth ATF again. clay
