IF you had one, and you definitely do not, it'd be inside the vacuum/pressure
pump that lives in the foam football inside the trunk. It was part of the 126
cars that could only be opened from the driver's door. The later ones have

Well..the system is in default because, I think the vacuum pump is dead. No
vacuum produced at all.
I can open the driver's or passenger's door with the key manually(no
vacuum). I then open the rear doors by hand.
Of I could find a good used pump, then I can be able to figure out the
system.

I will remove the vacuum pump and post a photo of it.
I have tested the tubing with my mitivac. No leak detected. The vacuum pump
itself doesn't appear to be running when electrified. So I suspect the pump
is dead..

the cheap (like $5) one at Harbor Freight is garbage, the expensive one (like
$30) is surprisingly good.Set it to DC, 20v range. Pull the negative battery
cable and with a fully charged battery measure your voltage. S

constant battery drain.
If you're going to have old(er) cars, you need a minimal level of tools. For
the electrical
system, you need a battery charger and a good multimeter. Bonus points if you

I had the same problem. Typically, it's the hatch seal and rear quarter
window gaskets that can be replaced or resealed, at our option.

would suspect the window gasket in your case. Get a new one, re-
intalling with an old seal will just give you a bigger leak.

I sent this a few days ago, but it never went out.
The tailgate on my 85 Wagon is filling with water when it rains. A new
behavior. Is it usually the window seal, the wiper nozzle seal, the wiper
stalk seal, or the main door gasket? Some water in the footwell of the 3rd
seat also.
