Yes, and no. I actually transferred the wafers from a cut-up
ignition lock (column seizure, looks like) to a good one from
the boneyard. Removing/drilling out the retainer pin th

So it finally occured to me (at 2am natch) that I could put a socket over the
fragile pinhole on the lock so I could beat it out of the handle. That worked
reasonably well except I managed to break the door handle... Good thing Wilton
has a replacement.
The lock is frozen solid. I found gobs of
stuck BAD
so it may have to go...

Try "Rust Eater" from Autozone alternately with WD-40. Rust Eater is the
only penetrant I've found that actually dissolves rust such that you can see
it coming out in solution. I've used Tal-5, Aerokroil, Blaster, and several
others I can't remember. The only thing that ever worked as well as
ed to lock the doors...

I wouldn't destroy anything. Keep at it with penetrant,
heat, and persistence. You can loosen the latch

I've got next week off from work and need to get Hammie the 240D roadworthy.
The two big projects are a new hood (relatively easy) and getting the door
locks to work. Neither works at all, the driver's lock barely budges at all,
the passenger's side turns a little.
I can't take the door handle of
