[mythtv-users] TV-Out not working on tv mode

I have a mythtv box running with fedora and an ATI Radeon 9100 (from crucial) Well ... i updated the drivers, although the weird thing is the Open GL vendor trings still read mesa. Even though i am using the ATI Radeon 9100 control panel and ran the update. Anyway, i run the mythTV. And all the

Hi, I just went shopping for a GeFroce fx 4000 card. The only one I found was pci based. But, for $18.00 more the had a fx 5200 agp with 256 meg of ram with TV and DVI out. Will this work as good/easy as the 4000 card? I haven't opened the box yet, just in case the list says it won't work! Davi

Hi, Thanks for both of your responses. I've now fixed it, but caused another side effect! I used the fireglcontrolpanel utility supplied by ATI's drivers, and noticed it was set to NTSC (should be PAL - I'm in the UK). So I changed it to PAL, restarted x, now the monitor picture has gone very odd

It depends on what your video card is capable of, as well as what the TV is capable of. The PVR-350, for instance, outputs only at 720x480 for NTSC (or 720x576 for PAL), which is the native resolution. At this resolution, there is no up or down sampling of the picture. Your video card is certain
