Hello, I've got a Palm m500 and am making no headway with pilot-link or
JPilot. This is Mandrake 8.1, btw. What device should my Palm be? It sits
in a USB cradle. Anything at all would help. Please help get me started or
tell me where to RTFM.

I have noticed over the couple of years that where I have had both
Mandrake and Windblows on the same computer a not dissimilar unexplained
memory loss which I found by accident

machines and was wondering how I could open a port up for another applications. I
think it was port 3620 or something.

OK, I had a problem whereby after loading 8.2 onto my XP machine from
downloaded disks that strange things happened which I detailed in a
previous posting included below. At this time I did not include all
errors but have this time hoping they may be connected.

Well, it is quite likely that you have a Tyan Thunder with athlon MP
processors or any of several models of Gateway with an AMD Irongate Chipset.
Something about those ohci USB-interfaces is different from the defined
ohci, and it simply doesn't work with the standard kernel driver.

Handspring Visor working 'sort of' under Linux (RH 7.2 I believe). I had
to recompile the kernel to get USB-Serial support. It was not easy and
it didn't work very well. Maybe the newer distros have better USB
