Hi there, some Lucent modems are supported under Linux. My friend has one,
(I'm not sure what chipset) and it has worked well for him w/Mdk Linux 8.2.
You can check out this site for drivers for Lucent modems, but you will have
to know what chipset you have:

There was IIRC a hacked AOL installer for Linux. Do a google search for
it. It may still be out there. Recent too afaik.

Hello all,
I have an interesting problem... Yesterday I finally got my home
network finished and working. At the time I had finished it, I was able to
log onto the Internet fine with my modem. However, today when I turned on
my computer, I was not able to get online. I receive an error
