Hi All,
I need a little help. I finally got all the way to the actual install
(I think), but when it asks me what partition it is on, I can't get it
to find the Red Hat files. I made a primary partition of 600 megs in
DOS (left the rest blank) and copied all the CD on that drive. It

Hi Steven,

Since I am running an older system, I cannot boot from the CD. To
further complicate matters, Linux doesn't recognize my 4 speed CD

Making a boot disk is a little different for this than it is for dos.

need
it, are in the images directory.

Hi All:
Welcome to the family :)
I too just installed Mandrake two days ago. This is my first
Linux experience. AAMOF, I just figure out how to install
downloaded application today. We do had to browse through
the manual before we install it (it's in the CD). Isn't it
great? An OS that require us to read

Ah Grasshopper,
As for the Windose HD unplug the power but not the ribbon, you want the
bios to see it.
First of all, start the machine, after the first screen you will see press
del to enter setup, hit del, after the boot has stopped and you are in the
setup click on bios features setup. change
d I have no idea what to do,
but that is another matter.

Hi All,
I just signed up to this list yesterday, and if what I am reading is
from "newbies", I am in trouble. I don't know what anyone was saying.
Of course I did just get my Linux disk in yesterday. So far I haven't
got a clue as to how to install this thing. Is there a site I can go
to that giv
