Can you tell me what the error was? There is a way to get to sendmail to
configure it for things, but that's not normally necessary. Sendmail
almost always works right out of the box.
To see the sendmail config open the Netscape browser and in the location
box type:

I would like to put fortune in my login or logout files, but I cannot find
where these login and logout files are located. Could some one point me in the

running kernel 2.2.15 (smp version). I downloaded 2.2.16, installed the
rpm's just like any other rpm, rebooted, and that was it.

Well, you'll probably want kernel-2.2.16. the kernel-2.2.16-mdksmp (or
something like that) is for machines with 2 processors. You'll want
Kernel-2.2.16-devel. And probably kernel-hearders-2.2.16.
I'm not sure if these filenames are right...they should be close though.

You can Adobe Acrobat Reader right from the Adobe site for Linux. While
xpdf does read these files I think Acrobat does the job better. Give it a
shot and see what you think.

Oh it does. But it will save that email to a file. I would love to append
others to that text file, but that option does not seem to exist in OE. It
did in my OS/2 reader and was very practical. Here it would mean
duplicating dozens of emails into many files. Not practical.

Did you just "install" over the top of the first one? Did you format the
original partitions, delete and recreate partitions.? I assume you
didn't "upgrade" over the top of the same version of Linux. Then, after you

I've been running Mandrake 7.0 for a while, I'm dual-booting with Windows
using a floppy boot (at the moment).
Recently I went to boot Mandrake and it boots fine up to the point where it
flips into graphics mode, where it would hang and the screen would go black.
