Just finished the default install for Mandrake 7.1. The mirror sites
show about 500 Meg in Security UPdates. Is it neccessary to do
all 500 meg?? If so, can I use some other util -- other than the
Mandrake UPdater -- to run all these after an ftp?

set up button. Changing the res. should be in there.
I am not 100% sure on that for I am working on my
98 system at the moment but will look later if this

Here is one for ya. i came in this morning to a sudo meltdown. On a
mandrake 7.1 system my apache error_log filled the root file system up.
Normally all I do is delete the error log and go on about my day. It is a
development server so i don't worry about errors in the apache logs.(maybe

don't know what it's called but it's there. I think it is called "display".

like a setting switched on called MEMORY GAP. This often kicks a 1meg hole

I used the dhcp-client-3.0bl1pl12-4mdk.i586.rpm and it worked just fine. I
had read the DHCP how-to and the writer said he had sometimes had problems
with pump so he used the dhcp-client instead. So therefore I did also.
