My
suggestions are as follows:
If the
users are NT workstation, share the top-level folder (Users) as a hidden share,
and use login scripts and have the following command in the logon script:
Subst H: \\Server1\Users$\%username%
If the
clients are
1) Open a DOS window and make sure youre in the \windows directory
2) Delete all .pwl files
3) Exit the DOS window
4) Go into your Network Properties and change the default logon type to:
Windows Logon
5) Reboot
6) When the Logon screen comes up click the OK button and do nothing else,
enter noth
.. it's in the bios or if you have insight manager running I think
you can see it in there.
.. they are universally unique id's so they are unique to every
machine.
.. you can use these with AD for remote OS install and they're
also used with managed computers.
