browser by default. You can either find the option in the browser to
display all versions, or you can just specify the 3.0.10 version in the

I was successful using FreeBSD 7.2 in VirtualBox 3.0.2 in a non-global zone on
OpenSolaris 0906.
I was partially successful with OpenBSD 4.5 in VirtualBox 3.0.2 in a non-global
zone on OpenSolaris 0906. The usual disk full message and segmentation
faults occurred during installation but the
VirtualBox 3.0.0 fails to startup in a non-global zone just like 2.2.4 and
2.2.2. Only 2.2.0 seems to work in a non-global zone.
Which means I can't run OpenBSD because it gets seg faults and disk full errors
on 2.2.0. Can't run 2.2.4 because something is broken and it doesn't appear

For what it's worth: I opened a bug (#4226) on the virtualbox.org site in
bugtracker for the FreeBSD only working with 2.2.0 in a non-global zone and
there hasn't been any movement. There are also a few OpenBSD bugs that address
the disk full and seg fault problems, so opening a new one about
I run VBox only in global zone if you are curious. Having OpenBSD/pf running in
VBox in non-global zone would be nice, indeed.

set in your environment, where it will break all programs, and
instead only set it in wrapper
Took /opt/csw/lib out of my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and it
now works.
Blastwave is great but it often clobbers
functionality.
Blastwave doesn't clobber functionality. Unawareness clobbers
functionality. What are you doing with a LD_LIBRARY_PATH on
Solaris.

I pulled out my build 66 starter kit, installed it and then downloaded the
package and after installing that I made up an windows 2003 virtual machine and
the speed appears to be well within acceptable limits -it's a good sight faster
than qemu is (which I was surprised to find out).

I believe gentry was referring to 64bit vs 32bit, there's only a 64bit binary
available for download.

What I've noticed is that it's pretty invasive on the host system. I was trying
to watch a PAL resolution video with mplayer on Solaris while

have DP2 working in VirtualBox on Mac OS X - should work for other
OpenSolaris distros on other platforms as far as I can see.
I've put an ISO of the ae driver tarball on

VirtualBox is way faster than QEMU, though it shares some of the code. I like
it already. There are a few issues here and there, but other than that, it's
great. Nice product Sun bought there.
