I'm running on a Windows install, so i can't follow it to the letter, but

Hi list,
I've been doing some upgrade tests on our OTRS installation, currently
running 2.2.4.
After upgrade to 2.4.7, and running the "Support Assessment" I noticed that
the ArticleSearchIndex and IndexAccelerator should be set to "StaticDB".
I did, and rebuilt the indexes as mentioned in
I created a special queue in which tickets contained within are deleted
should their status be set to 'Delete'.
Agents, with permissions, just move the ticket to that queue and forget it.

Thanks David and Timothy, that's what I did and it works.
Other related question is the Postmaster filter which I can't get to work.
Is there a flag with which you can tell it that the text you enter is a

text or do you h

Hi,
You can use the generic agent to do this. Add a new Generic Agent from the
admin panel, specify your parameters (Date, Customer etc) and down at the
bottom locate "Delete tickets:" and select "Yes". This will remove the
tickets physically from the DB.

Hello,
I wonder how tickets can be completely deleted form the system. I found no
such link in the ticket details.
Thanks

Hi swood,
The delete modlue, like the spam module, only moves tickets to a
selected queue and sets a status. The tickets are not deleted. To
delete tickets, please use the generic agent, as this is the only way
to permanently, and cleanly, remove tickets and all references to them
in the DB.

Hi swood,
It's a good idea to disable that menu. I should think it is disabled by default?
I only wished to learn, for what this module and if it can be used for
removal tickets from base as it correctly to do is necessary?

We setup a Junk queue and setup a GenericAgent job that removes all
tickets from the Junk queue every 10 minutes or so. So, if you want to
remove a ticket, you just move it into the Junk queue.

I always just leave them (maybe we don't get as much spam as you do), for us
they don't take up much space.

I must be missing something here - how do I completely delete a ticket from the
database? For example, spam - I don't want to close them, I want to remove them
completely so they aren't taking up room in the database.
