You could end the task in task manager.
control-alt-delete should bring up the task manager, use the tab key to
get to the applications tab, then find the application totalrec.exe or
what ever it is called, then end task.
Shouldn't need to do this, but it will unload total rec.

Which version of Windows. You need a second audio device in Windows
Vista 7 but should be able to not have the Jaws voice recorded in XP

asking about them. But my client wants to do it with Total Recorder
and, frankly, so do I, and I know it can be done

you can also use clownfish for skype recordings, it's also free.
