I have the 555, and it's not digital. The same adapter I use with a ZX5n and a PZ1p can be used with my SFXN and my 645 -- which is actually pretty handy, since it kept my investment in modules small. With its manual sync chord I can also use with a K1000 and a Yashicamat. I get very good results

Try this: Go to a used computer or electronics shop and get a thing known as an "EPROM". It has a little window in it whereby the chip's circuit is visible. Get close to this and vary the angle of your light source. Add a polarizer for more variety. Fun. In a geeky sort of way. Sounds cool.
