Well, FWIW, I don't see a problem with JCO doing business on eBay. I see loads of auctions where he is a low bidder, then gets out to let others bid ~way~ higher than his early bid. Lots of people and businesses make money on eBay. If he can get a lens cheap, and sell it high, more power to him.

Part of the problem here is that area increases so dramatically with relatively small increases in dimensions. For instance, a 5x7 print is 35 square inches. If you increase that size by just one inch in every direction--make it 7x9--you add another 28 sq. in., almost (not quite) doubling the area

One last thing about making digital prints: One of the nice things about digital is that if you have a computer and an inkjet printer, you can see for yourself how many megapixels you need to make an 8x10 print. Just go to the web, pull down a full image file from a 3-mp camera, and print it. Then

Gregory, All of the Pentax 50mm f2 lenses are remarkably good, K, M, A or old Takumars. The 50mm f1.4 are not sharper or better, just faster... a bigger minimum aperture. This also makes them easier to focus. If you are using a tripod and cable release, something should be in sharp focus. Take

That would be a Porsche 356 engine in a beetle. Bolted on to the transmission with no mods. You could do a 911 engine as well but had to take the tranny with it, and needed to modify some of the body as well but a front engine front drive into a rear engine vehicle. Sounds unlikely. At 08:43
