I'd say buy it, but make sure it's cheap. One thing unique about
the K 55mm lenses is, that on K bodies, you can keep your off-eyepiece
eye open, and both eyes appear to be looking at the same view.
That trick doesn't work quite as well with, say, an MX and an M50mm,
at least not in my experience.
The fringing on the tree decoration is probably a spot I missed with
the eraser. (I did this kind of fast and dirty.) The blue areas on the
windowpane have been corrected for daylight. It's just that they were
very blue to begin with. Looking at the hi-res tiff I can see that
these are exterior

photographs. It would benefit from some editing, otherwise it's not a
gallery. Tear the bad ones, tear the too similar ones, end with about
4-6 photographs from the night, that is IMHO enough :-)

Much better is the M 135/3.5, a very sweet lens.
Even better is the SMC K 135/2.5 (NOT Takumar), I'm still
looking for one of these myself.

I got rid of mine recently in order to (re)purchase the SMC Pentax(K)
2.5/135mm (do not mistake it for the Takumar Bayonet version), which is

Thanks to all who responded to my request for a rating of the above lens.
Looks like it's one to avoid; pity as KEH have one rated 'bargain' ($94.00)
at the moment.
It looks like the SMC 'M' lenses very often out do their newer 'A' stable
mates from what I can see reading PDML posts.

how rude! i don't go around telling people that they're digital cameras

While I sold all my P67 gear about a year and a half ago before the
prices plunged, ( I hated the bulk and weight of the system ) I did keep
one medium format camera, my Zeiss Super Ikonta III which has a coated
75mm F3.5 Tessar and folds up much smaller than a 35mm SLR. I sure am
