Surely, the K100D has manual focus assist, too? OK, it doesn't come with

Toralf, it depends on the camera. I had a Canon
I wouldn't worry about them. Their idea of cruel and unusual punishment
is Newcastle Brown Ale. On second thoughts.

Not noticeably, as far as the Rebel is concerned, at least compared to
the *ist-D/Ds, the K100D is supposed to have improved autofocus. The
Rebel is an 8mp camera, the K100D is 6mp but has in camera shake

Pancho,
I picked one up recently on eBay and I quite like it.

Paul, you know me, I *love* rumour. But can you honestly see
'proper' (see footnote) weather sealing in a DSLR body - any body - at
the proposed price point of the K10D ? I just can't see

I agree that it is hard to believe they can deliver weather sealing
at that price point. But Pentax has surprised before in terms of
value for the dollar.
I'll post a few more cruise pics later tonight or at least some time

swung the camera over in time to catch the shot." And citing the
confusion about it as being spontaneous or staged as partly his fault.
He didn't see the film he took until some two weeks later and thought

Feeder shots are definitely ugly. A hanging basket of flowers near the
feeder will give opportunities that look natural when they opt for the real
thing instead of sugar water.
A long lens, 300mm+, helps fill the frame.
