I think the automotive manufacturer analogy is probably the most

The K7 and especially the K5 were real breakthrough digital cameras
for Pentax. I'm hopeful Pentax will release that 'killer" mirrorless
system as well. They currently have "great IQ but too big" and
"really small but sensor-limited" systems. Third time's the charm.

Thanks, Ann!
If you can get here and find it, you'll have a place to crash!

Thanks much, Joe!
I'm up early this morning, hoping to take advantage of some good light a
little later. But, damn, does it feel cold in the 40's after almost a
month in the 70's & 80's!

Hi all,
I took the K20D and K-x out again this morning, around 8:00 with the
intent of taking photos of my neighbor training his horse.
Unfortunately, it was the horse's off-day -- so he'll be running

I tried a slightly tighter crop on the bird photo, but the bokeh from
that lens takes on a mottled look at lower apertures, so I thought it
best to sacrifice the detail in favor of the broader scene. As for the

Another fine gallery. I like the first one, wonder how a tight crop on
the bird would work out, and the horse trailer one. I liked the horse
