I have 7.5.5 on my PB520. I had to put that on after I put in a PPC upgrade

older version did not work with PPC. However, that done, everything works
fine. Check your version numbers. What I have on mine is:

Since you are new to the Mac universe, here are a few mouse hints.
Disclaimer: I really do not like two-button mice myself, as I teach both Mac

right-clicking and pulling up those confusing (to beginners) shortcut menus.

Would that fit in a 5300?

I assume you had to reformat the CF from PC to Mac in order to use it as a
RAM disk. How did you get the CF to format as a Mac disk? Are you using HFS
or HFS+?

There was a post here a few weeks ago about using CF with an adapter as
virtual RAM.

If I use a SCSI Ethernet adapter, can I also use another SCSI device?
ie Pbook - HDI SCSI adapter - cable - CD-ROM drive - cable - SCSI

And do I need to use a terminator with these things?
Yep,
I use a Lynksys Etherfast Cable/DSL 8-port router with a cable modem. There
was a booklet that came in the box with it that showed you how to configure
it. You fire up your browser then type in the address of the router. It is
in that booklet. For my cable company I had to tell them the MAC
hqx is a compressed format. You would need something like Stuffit Expander
to decompress it unless you get it in via AOL (see my other post). You will
need the file in sea format. That is a self-expanding format.
I just today downloaded the hqx version onto a PC, downloaded it to the A
drive

I'd like to catalog aquite a number of photos using OSX.
I'd like to change the file names into descriptive ones
(instead of the default names given by OSX).
I'd also like to add notes to the photos
