You need to boot into DOS from a floppy disk and run the MBR restore
option of FDISK. If you boot with Windows or MS-DOS version 6 or higher
(I believe it is), type fdisk /mbr. If you are using DR-DOS or Novell
DOS (which is essentially the same thing), start FDISK in the expert

I recently built a Red Hat 7.3 system with an Athlon 650Mhz. I can't get the
secondary IDE port to work, and can't afford to replace the motherboard. I
got the idea of adding a PCI card with IDE ports on it. What are the odds

Silly question, but did you go into the BIOS setup and make sure that the
secondary IDE port was turned on?

Hi Group,
I am browsing the Net in the hope to find a MPEG-4 multicast streaming
server for Linux.
The idea is that it will be not used in LAN networks, so the MPEG-4 is a
must (small size - good quality).
Would anybody recommend one?

The article I read on Linuxplanet.com yesterday indicated it was

Hi Ashley.
I didn't want to butt in on this thread 'cause I thought it was under

I use an *old* AHA-2940, and I had to download and flash the AHA bios.
Perhaps that might help ?
