Just to let you know, a friend of me gave me a Motorola Maxtrac100 and like
you he plug the power in reverse. The power plug was not made by Motorola
and colours was reversed (without fuse).

You can use GE MLS in Ham band with no troubles. You need the original GE
programmer to do this.
Its necessary to retune the RX and TX VCO near to 4.5 Volts. Looks for a
flashing LED in front of radio this indicate an unlocked VCO.

famous oscillators to find an open contact on the nichrome wire. To repair
the oven I remove one turn of the nichrome wire and retwist the

Hello, Im sure you will tune your MSR2000 at this frequency.
As I remember, the exiter is a bit wide band than the receiver but it not a
big problem.
Maybe you can add a pre-amp on the RX side to fine tune you setup without
change any capacitors.
