The G-7-220 is a fine omni for the price. Best Ham grade omni. BUT if you
install a DB-224 or an RFS
PD-220 it will work a whole lot better.

. She gives great prices. We have bought piles of
stuff for the Metro-Comm. repeater system from them. Also way great to deal
with and will not rush you off there toll free line like some. They are
also in the QST in the classifieds. They have two adds this month.
Good luck and 73,

We have a set up like this but we use two duplexers and two coax switches.
works ok for a port-a-peater.
We use a Kenwood 850 and two TX/RX duplexers we had Cook tower set it up
for us and it works just fine.

stuff. It is a fun band so far.
Lots of stuff to watch out for. Like your users will find things like coax.
A lot of coax is only good to 512 MHZ. Same with mobile mounts. Need to be
good to 1000 plus MHZ.
Good luck on 902!

Yes you can build the cable. But a cable from a Kenwood dealer as much less
trouble. On your TKR-850 if you are going to use it for a Ham repeater make
sure you get the Ham software from your dealer not the commercial or get
both smile.
Great repeater!

We use them on EVERY transmitter in our system!
Some tower owners require them.
It is a great idea to use a circulator it solves many problems before they
are a problem.

Decibel quit making
DB will not sell direct.
I think COOK Towers orders a pile of the Ham stuff as well as
Business, Police and Fire stuff. We as Hams gain because we can still get a
great Ant.

No they do not have to be the same.
BUT! Turn the power down on the one you are using to transmit.
Then add a fan on it.
Good luck

Why not just add two touch tone decoders?
One on each repeater. Then just touch tone on the repeater that you would
like on line. This works well for us.

Hey Guys,
You can always put up a repeater on 220 or 900 or 1296.
We are having lots of fun with 900 MHz. and yes you can even use a Master II
for a repeater. Lots of radio's for 900
Maxtrac's, Spectra's GTE's and even Johnson and Kenwood's.
Have fun!
