except BB is not freepbx+
I'm not sure what you mean
Yea, for two lines, get a couple of Linksys spa3102's (shudder... did I
just recommend that?) and have them connect direct to voip.ms and be done
with it. Voip.ms has a good set of instructions for setting up the 3102's.
Leave out the complexity of a phone system.

I would use the free analog line for a PSTN failover, e911, and FAX
line and then get SIP trunks for the main business lines. Fax doesn't
work well over VOIP. Does the TWBC phone line work even if the power
goes out?
This also seems like a good solution for Freeswitch via the Bluebox
distro.
You can also use the cheaper SPA2102s if are only using SIP lines upstream.

instead of a user friendly gui (BB) for a phone system/pbx, its a GUI to
help you edit freeswitch xml files ..
there is a difference.

I'm not sure what you mean. FreePBX is a front-end for Asterisk. When
they started to make FreePBX

I'm not really seeing what the difference is.

Folks -
Of all the knowledgeable goodness on this list, I know that someone can
point me in the right direction for this project.

I think you can go pure voip.ms if just two lines.

Just get a sip trunk. Realize. That adding a hardware gateway to connect to
an analog line Very much dumbs the system down as far as feature sets.
Pickford sample, caller id services on an analog line that has to ring twice
before the call can be sent to pbx. Also consider the on hook detection,
Tw should be able to hand off a sip line if that can be done your job will be
much easier/cheaper I bet the device they drp off is an ata/cable modem anyway

Thanks folks! Pure play Voip.ms was my first inclination (I cut my own home
bill to 1/10 of what it was using them), but I was concerned about the
shelter freaking out over the 'what do you mean I can't get the phones from
Walmart' syndrome, and doubled back on that thought. Also the cost of SIP
