Hi,
To map a lake in a forest area, I should currently create both a
closed way with natural=water, and a closed way that is an 'inner'
member of the forest's multipolygon relation. Both of these ways
share the same nodes (and may or may not need to be oriented in
special ways).
This seems
Hi,
The multipolygon tag is set in pgsql_out_relation for ways with
role=inner. Furthermore, pgsql_out_relation appears to aggregate tags
of all ways involved, so you should end up with
landuse=forest, natural=water on the multipolygon. I wonder what
happens when both have differing natural=

What do you think about this idea :
- select two or three small islands somewhere on the planet, but really in
the middle of 'nowhere', means no humans, no constructions, absolutely
nothing.
- call these islands 'mapnik', 'osmarender', etc...
- add them in a dedicated wikipage with appropriate

i was thinking about this also (my idea was a separate database), also
usable as a kind of legend tile
maybe we can use the northpole as testarea ;) or even better the 0/0 lat/lon
easy to locate and in the ocean

As you said it yourself, a different example. As for national parks,
everything inside its borders belongs to the park. Unless it is explicitly
excluded by some inner (hole :) ) borders. Same goes with the country
borders. I think there are quite a few examples of chunks of a country A's
territory
You can create a standalone .osm file with all this in it if you/we
need a test file. That's a much better idea than polluting the
database with junk!
ok, forget my comment for developers who have a local environment anyway...
but I'm only thinking about the 99% of the OSM contributors who
should traffic_lights be on the road, or can they be separate nodes too?
This is not an issue for simple intersections, but I'm having a slightly
complicated intersection here, where I could either put a new node in the
middle, tagging it traffic_lights, or put 3 three traffic_lights on each
I raised a similar thread about highway=stop some weeks ago.
You can find it in the archives (in January if I remember correctly).

How recent is your copy of JOSM? Somewhere in the last month it was made
more difficult to accidentally move objects in JOSM.

Is it still possible to move an entire object in JOSM, or is it now limited
to one node at a time?

The version I downloaded three days ago still allows to move entire ways --
and indeed will do if you press the cursor keys while a way is selected.

klingt kompatibler zu Map Features, ja.

Hi,
