Windows Editor. I don't need nor want all those design-options, I want
an editor that performs the basic email-tasks - and stops right there
without trying to second-guess me. MicroEd trys to be clever and do
things without being dire
I figured that didn't bode well so I uninstalled and went with GnuPG
which, as you've described, works well so far.

Neither does it support some of the algorithms currently used by some of
us. This is the likely reason why you're having problems importing keys.
I'd suggest installing GnuPG and trying that one.

display a pop-up query which will allow the user to over-ride the
concern or choose another key. For those who wish to always be prompted,
the simply don't define a default key.

behaviour will naturally progress to
another one, i.e., that 'delete tab', 'move left', 'move right' options
will be added. That right click menu should have all the options to
manage the tabs. I'm just assuming they aren't there since the feature
ages in the outbox, the
edit mail window closes as though I had sent the message right away.
