Hi Everyone,
My right foot and ankle have been swelling everyday now. (this is the side
affected by TM) It used to be only after I had been up all day but now I wake
up with it swollen. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks for your reply.

to TM. Perhaps you are retaining water for other reasons.
Keep us informed as to what you find out as this may help others here too.

*Hi Mom Maw,*
**
*Have you possibly been overcompensating for that side of your body?
Sometimes, I have the same thing happen due to overcompensation, or favoring
one side overf the other.*

Frank or others,
It was recently suggested to me that I try using a exerciser similar to an electricbicycle for at least daily or more if possible to stimulate the blood flow and will reduce leg swelling. Does this sound reasonable? This apparatuscost around $100.00 You sit on a chair and pedal

question to all t.m. er's. do you all have problems with swelling at the feet or ankles? i have had one foot
to swell for 2 months. is this part of the disease?
Check out AOL.com today
I've had swelling in my feet/legs for years.
My left legs has more than the right because my left side has more neurological
effects:
Left foot drop
Left pain 4 times worse than right
left has less ability to know where fingers, foot, arm is located.
Diuretics don't really help, just screws
my hypothesis is that the nerves don't work as well to control the flow of
blood and other fluids in and out of my legs.
Homework:
Try lying down with your feet and lower legs above your head- two pillows under
your legs, none under your head, remain in this position for two hours (watch
TV).

From middle of the right calf down the veins cannot contract so the
valves in them cannot close so the blood does not circulate well so
the leg is turgid with fluids and wounds do not heal. The left leg is
normal.
This has been corrected by compression stockings.
