[SlimDevices: Touch] where is the music database stored?

I was wondering where the Touch stores the music database - in internal memory or on the connected USB device/SD card? If it should be the latter, is it possible to disconnect one device and connect another without having to rescan, assuming they both have been scanned before? -- skate
