Yes it does work.
I never got around to writting the applet to set that up. Now that the
Touch is out and there is a little interest in it I'll go ahead and put
it together.
Full plug and play is not going to be easy though.

I have used a piece of tinted plastic on the end of the remote, it
reduces the signal enough that you have to point the remote at the unit
you want to control. (old batteries might accomplish the same thing)
