Fantastic work Triode.
Good man!
I have a Vlink usb/spdif adapter.
i tried plugging Touch usb into that, then into my Dac via coax but the
Touch said Cannot connect Dac or something...
Can the Vlink be used in this way with EDO Touch usb mod?
thanks.

If you really want to do this, on the Web interface, go to
Settings/Advanced/File Types, look down on the left for FLAC and
enable/disable the Stream Formats. It would be a good idea to make a
note of the initial settings in case you want to revert to them.
Many NAS devices are underpowered so
Notethat equal volume is not having the volume on the same setting, I be

Use an spl meter or a voltmeter and a test signal if possible .
Also figure out how your reciever really works most of them digitise

Excellent question. My initial assumption was that 'less is more' and
thus a straight SPDIF connection to the DAC
Thank you very much. Worked like a charm!

yep, I use replaygain (smartgain in LMS) and I try to keep my digital
volume between 75% and 100% for normal listening.
In my experience turning the volume knob a tiny bit to the right makes a
huge improvement.
Much more details in the listening space and the sound gets a warm and
welcome timbre.
So much bang for no bucks :-)
