When OOo is installed, if the installer chooses to allow OOo to take
over the file associations for Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, it
should record the *current* file associations, so that this process can
be reversed if the installer desires...
But, the main thing it should be able to do

associations for Windows users (I don't think this is nearly as big an
