I've just updated both the phone and the computer programs. The format is
amazingly different. So much so, that I cannot get my music player to skip to
the next track while playing a song, like it did before for me. I'm running
IOS5 on a 4S.

This will double tap and hold the button. I tried it on HeyTel.
I don't see a way to release the button though.

Isn't part of the problem that there's a good deal of difference in the
keyboard and button setup of braille displays?

I checked the braille display command i-chord and it brings up the item chooser
as expected.
You now press the home button as usual to get out of it.

I think you guys are talking about a soft reset, yes? A hard reset
would be going into settings/general/reset and choosing erase all
content and settings. That should naturally turn off VO although a
