my friend has installed the paid version of the brailletouch app on
her iphone 4
since she got the upgrade when typing voiceover does not read what
she types. if she turns voiceover off the app will speak.

I was not going to buy the full version of this app right away, but I could not
help myself. This is an awesome app. I am writing this letter using Braille
Touch.

type if I use the pads of my fingers instead of using the tips of my fingers.

I'm very sorry your friend is having trouble with VoiceOver on
BrailleTouch. Is VoiceOver working correctly in other apps? I would
suggest resetting the phone by fully powering it off and then starting
it again. If this does not work, please email me directly at

I can replicate the problem, if speech feedback is set to no
feedback, from the settings list, select braille touch, it's in their.
Then if you use braille touch with vo turned on, you get no feedback.
if you turn VO off, then the alternate speech system will voice key presses.

love it and can't wait for grade 2 support. I am using it for all my typing on

Hi Sandy. Here's how I do it. I go in to braille touch and type the
text. Then I do the two finger swipe left and go to send text message.
It switches back to portrait mode. I type the first letter or two of
the first or last name and select my contact. Then once I double tap on

Last night or in the early hours this morning, I went into settings, Braille
Touch, feedback and changed the advance settings and speech feedback. So when
I opened Braille Touch, everything was as I wanted it to be, but, (there is
always a but] once I've typed a phrase or line, I
egin to use this app more and more, I would like to make a couple of
suggestions.
1. Like in Fleksy, to be able to place our hand by the ear piece and listen
to what we have written instead of opening up the menu to access this.
2. A favorite option in the settings of braille Touch on the iPhone
Last night I played with Braille touch and was having trouble typing
what I thought would be the right letters. I then relistened to the
instructions this morning, held the phone on either side with the thumb and
end finger and realized that I had to curve my second third and fourth
finger

I ant to concur with others that the way one uses Braille Touch is not using
ergonomic principles. Hence, it places at least my right hand at jeopardy in
possibly developing carpal tunnel. I believe the developers should take a
serious look at creating a Perkins style layout for the app
osing
BrailleTouch from the app switcher and restarting, or try restarting
your iPhone.
