Learn the swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the home screen. It is easier. If I had known how easy face ID is, I never would have gotten an iPhone 8 as my first phone. When doing the swipe up from the bottom of the screen, I use the lightning port on my 13 pro max as a guide.

Hi Chuck, I strongly encourage you to set up face ID on your new iPhone. Touch ID is not available on iPhone swithout home buttons and having used phones with both types of biometric identification, face ID works much better than touch ID. Good luck with your new iPhone and I hope FlickType
