I have not tried this, but perhaps if you could find the iMovie Library in Time
Machine.
But you would need to get it between adding the original clips and starting
editing.
Alternatively start a new project from scratch importing the clips again.

Once before I used AppCleaner to delete 9.0.9 and 6.0.3 but then found 10.0.9
would no longer work.

whether it be video or audio. The badge is in the shape of a yellow triangle

I deleted that iMovie preference file as advised.
Then downloaded and installed iTunes from scratch.
I also noticed right at the end of my iMovie project a file with the yellow

Then a little later whilst in iMovie I dragged some music into iMovie in the
usual way.
PANIC !
The music clips have no sound !!
I have checked volume levels, etc and they all look OK.

You import your Video from your Camera into iMovie and you do your Editing of

When you are happy with your Edited Movies you use iDVD to do the Authoring of

Happy Christmas all.
I have found that iPhoto will not populate Slide Shows with pictures and that
pre existing slide shows have lost all their pictures, also the music source
(iTunes) is blank. There is no music available in iMovie either, the music and
sound effects panel is blank.

Yes it is and I can use a video converter to capture the files and make them
.MOV that iMovie then recognises.

We just use Skysoft Video Converter to convert .mts AVCHD video files directly
into whatever format we want for use in Quicktime Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie
etc. The software features presets for many of these as well as AppleTV, iPod
