Hello all,
well, most of the time we talk about functions - and functions making WSJT-X
outstanding.
Maybe someone who can dig deeper into the code takes an hour please and
starts to align the buttons and check boxes in the lower left corner.

Hi All,
The slider next to the level meter only seems to affects the wide graph's
waterfall when "flatten" is off. To avoid others this confusion would it be
better to scrap that slider and just use the sliders on the wide graph?

No...not with no antenna connectedinstead with antenna connected and quiet
period of no signal on top of the noise (like the 50-60 second time period for
JT modes).

Hi Mike, Edson,
I just built the latest revision today (r7599) and was wondering the
same or similar things.
Am I correct is assuming that, we set the audio input with say, no
antenna connected, to about the 30 Level on the scale now?
I use an external interface, and I had to cut back on the inp
Hi Mike,
How should the level slider in the MainWindow and the Waterfall Gain in the
Wide Graph window be adjusted? Although they interact with each other, one
of them seem redundant now.

Hi Keith,
The audio codec used int he FT-991 is a Burr Brown (Texas Instruments)
PCM2903B. The PCM290x chips suffers from a spur at every one kHz when the
input level is low. I have built a few home made audio interfaces with
these chips and all of them suffer from this spur. The only way to mitig

The slider adjusts the waterfalls now like it always did. The effect on the
meter was confusing too many people when setting audio so that was
disconnected. On the fast graph the slider controls both the spectrum and
waterfall...and just the waterfall on the wide graph.

Hi Joe,
It looks very good here. But this is only a subjective opinion from someone
with ageing eyes. Suggestions from other developers should also be
considered.
I like the way the level meter behaves now. Disconnecting my antenna, the
level drops down to about 7-8 dB. With the antenna connected
Hi Edson,
Revision 7599 uses QColor(85,170,85) for "normal" and QColor(232,81,0)
(a dark orange) aof "too low".
I think the dark orange is an improvement. Not so sure about the
gray-green, but perhaps others will like it ??

Hi Joe,
I've compiled the SVN head and am using it. The level meter color looks
good, but it may be a little better if the green could be a little darker
to have better contrast with the widget grey background. Can you try a
QColor(85,170,85) and see if it looks ok for you?

HI Joe,
On my MacBook with direct USB interface to an FT-991, by adjusting Menu 73
‘DATA OUT LEVEL’ right down to 0, I can get the bar to show the yellow with the

somewhat appear white and I suspect some users may miss the
The "ugly green spot" means your rig is connected and gets an "S" in it when
you're in split mode.Nothing to do with level controls.

I noticed you removed the low/high/clip indicator.
You don't think users might want to know when these conditions occur? In
particular clipping? I also thought having the text indicators helps the color
blind people.
Also thought we could add another peak indicator like the one for noise that

Hi Dan,
You should be able to install Msys, with autotools, to the default
C:\MinGW or whatever it is these days. After which you'd need to copy a
couple of files from the original /msys/etc folder (for mount points and
such) and edit one file to update a path for the new installation of
MSYS.
What directions are you following to install JTSDK?

It should not take hours...unless you're running one heck of a slow computer.
More like 20-30 minutes.
Did we ask what OS you're on?

Hi Greg and thanks for the reply.
OK - tried building hamlib3 from MSYS
1st time - stackdump after 2 hours
2nd time - I stopped the program after 10 hours
3rd time - I also added pipe output to hamlib3-build.log file and got -
stackdump + hamlib3-build.log file with not a lot in it. It took 4 ho

For a quick test just rename your mingw directory...you probably have C:\MINGW
or such.
It may be conflicting.
