Absolutely not.  Software should be utilized everywhere appropriate,  
although the service-oriented view of the enterprise doesn't have to  
be exclusively about software-based services.  My point was more  
about the critical success factors for SOA.  Most companies are  
already developing their own software or purchasing software.  They  
just haven't been developing the right things, or asking the right  
questions as part of a purchased product.  In trying to determine  
what the "right" things are to build or buy, it's all about non- 
technical things.
