Whoa, hope you're on your feet again soon, Deb! > When you refer to cooking your CS, is this to increase the ppms > or is this in making of the main batch. I think she's using a recipe that involves heating the water. It supposedly makes the particles smaller, and definitely makes the process quicker for the same ppm. So it's natural to talk about "cooking up a batch." > Given the recent thread on larger ppms meaning less effective > particulate size, I am very interested as I had been planning on > getting one of the larger machines due to need for high volume to > treat the horses, now I don't know what to do, I will be making CS > all day if I have to use the methods that make low volumes??? Deb, if you can afford the several hundred dollars for one of the bigger batch makers -- CS Pro, Motherlode, whatever -- go for it! And the sooner the better from the sound of it! Some minor quibbling aside <g> we've got no reason to think they won't work. We've got at least a couple owners of those machines on this list right now who're completely satisfied. We discuss the full spectrum of options because people's needs are different. IF the *only* way to make good CS was a 500 dollar HVAC unit, then that's all we'd talk about. But the low voltage battery, HVAC, HVDC, solar, nuclear reactor, geothermal, tidal forces, and hamster powered systems all seem to have their own virtues in terms of cost, simplicity, survivability, reproduceability, entertainment value, etc. <VBG> Hope you get better soon, Ma'am!
