When I was a kid, we used to use iodine for scrapes and cuts, but then we
switched to Mercurochrome. I thought my mother said it was safer.

This info found at
http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/health/autism/vit-D-and-brain.shtml#hd4
makes real sense:
"the mercury in Thiomerosol vaccines may have injured vitamin Ddeficient
children while normal children would have easily bound themercury and excreted
it. These studies offer further hope thatsun‑exposure or vitamin D supplements
may help autistic children byincreasing glutathione and removing heavy metals."

When I was a kid, none of us were vitamin D deficient. We played outside all
day, even if it was 98 degrees, and there were no effective sunscreens.

Everyone should read the entire vitamin D council site which pj pointed out to
us. Our lack of vitamin D might be wreaking all sorts of havoc in the body.

        Pat
