Oh, I had to think about that for a minute. But I see your point.

Your problem relates to switching between your local server and
mysqueezebox.com. My thinking had shifted around to believing you
simply had a problem using mysqueezebox.com for long periods of time. I
guess that isn't accurate.

I wasn't suggesting doing a full install of SB Server at a friend's
house. Simply take your Boom over there and see if it works reliably
with mysqueezebox.com. The only change you would have to make is to
enter their WPA key and associate your Boom with their network. Or, not
even enter a key if their network is unsecured. (I guess this would only
be a partial test. My bad.)

The ideal test would be to see that your Boom could play for hours at a
time without interruption. It could be a pain hanging around for such a
long time …or else leaving the Boom there.
