I downloaded the manuals for a couple of the 2Wire gateway models. I
notice these devices have a fairly sophisticated firewall. Further, you
can disable the firewall for selected computers. (They say computers,
but “clients” is what they really mean I suspect).

I won't pretend that I've digested the entire gateway manual, but I
would be likely to pursue the firewall as a possible culprit in your
disruptions.

You can disable the firewall for “Squeezer” and
“BoomBoom”. The manual says that a new IP will be issued
after that action. So, you'd want to verify that that occurred.

There may be some address implications and you might have to make sure
that you haven't made a static IP assignment previously. (I'm just
guessing here.)

The way that 2Wire does their DHCP reservations is they set aside a
chunk at the beginning of the address range for static IPs. I don't
know the full implications of that, but I think it's worth mentioning.
You have IPs in a nice tight cluster at the beginning of the IP range.
I wonder if you should move your range down towards the middle of the
span. Just thinking out loud, please ignore my ramblings .
