Arrrrgggggghhhhhh. Not worth the trouble. What's that? You want to do it anyway? My understanding is that some of those old Compaq badged Seagate drives just won't work in a Mac. Especially if the drive was originally tasked for server duty (Pro-liant?, Pro-something or other). I tried one once many years ago. It would not work.


The 15150 is from the early 90s. It is slow (about 4 MB/s) in performance, hot, very very hot, and noisy. It shares these characteristics with the other early Barracuda, the 32550.
