I don't believe anyone mentioned what OS this was happening in- 9.1 or OSX? Do you leave a Zip disk in the drive at all times- that can cause known problems in OSX according to the XPF list. Please give specifics of each drive-Manufacturer, model, SCSI or IDE, etc. Sometimes a specific component can be the culprit.Also, what drivers are controlling each unit- Do you have FWB CD drivers for 1 unit and use Apple's for the burner? Are all hard drives formatted by Apple's Disc setup? Are all software driver versions up to date? Things to think about. Paul C
