Hi thirdman- if you have a WD SCSI HD in a S900 chances are it is not using Apple drivers(unless hacked). Apple System Profiler(in the Apple Menu) should tell you. In fact, it'll give you a printout of your entire system. Do the freezes happen randomly or when using specific combinations of programs?(extension conflicts). When you replaced your RAM you did run Jeff Walter's recommended RAM test on each module, right? New doesn't exclude bad blocks. Gotta go for now. Paul C
