I suppose the quickest way to see if it is heat would be to take the side panel off and place your tower with an air conditioner blowing directly into it. As far as "I ran a RAM test" the one Jeff designed isolates each chip of memory between two known good ones and tests it for 8 to ? hours for signs of bad blocks. You do each module this way, then install them and hope they play nice. xlr8 also had a RAM checker on their install CD for chips about 5 years ago that also works. With a fast G4 bad memory and heat would be the first things to eliminate IMHO. Paul C
