The OS installed just fine, it's just that the CD was so damaged it couldn't install all of the required files. And as for using a generic version of 7.5.3, i tried that and it said that it doesn't recognize that macintosh, i have a screenshot posted on my message board: http://silver9990.siteburg.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7.
