Ah, the DTAs, yes. They're moving channels from their analog range to
their digital range it sounds like.

OK, here's what you need to do. You connect the DTA to the TiVo just
like a cable box - AV from the DTA into the TiVo, IR blasters from the
TiVo to the DTA. Configure the TiVo for digital cable and go through
the cable box config - a DTA basically is a simple cable box.

Then in the channel list you'll have channels flagged something like
'int' for intenral and 'box' for the cable box (maybe 'cbl'? Been a
long time since I used an S2DT). UNCHECK any channels that are 'int'
that you can no longer tune without the DTA. You want to use the DTA
and not the internal tuner for those.

Then, as I said before, the TiVo can use the two internal tuners for
channels that are still analog (up to 30 in your case), and will use
the DTA for the other channels. That means you can record two
channels 1-30, or one channel 1-30 and one 30+, but NOT two channels
30+.

Another member here recently went through this, check the archives for
that thread for what he had to do to make it work well. It was just a
couple of weeks back.
