oops- this should say - I have 3 series 2 TIVO boxes.

and I tried hooking them up like a regular cable box - no go - I know I can 
purchase or rent a regular box - but I really didn't want to spend anymore 
money - a cheap route for me might be to swith to FIOS as they are running a 
really great deal in my area right now - I just hate change and was perfectly 
happy with things the way they were.
