Just so you know, that is Not Normal. You said you have around 2500 CDs, so I'd guess that's probably 30-35k tracks. My library is only about 1/5 that size, but on my NAS it would finish scanning in around one hour (vs 13 minutes on my Atom mini-pc). Maybe you should look at the scanner.log even before it's finished to see if there are any clues.
