Only you can judge that, Riva - I've spent most of my admin time this
week chasing a 'missing' one-third upfront payment allegedly sent
from a client in Hong Kong a week ago, so I'm probably just taking a
more pessimistic view than usual...

Thanks Franni.
I am not worried about being paid - one of the guys I know really
well, but you are right - they are looking for someone to work for
free. If (big IF) I did this I would make a very clear cut contract
for them to sign. Is this even worth my while?

Sounds to me like they're looking for someone to work for free, and
what certainty would you have that they would pay...who's to judge
whether the results they get will be 'good enough' for them to pay
you anything? Regardless of what you actually charge in the
end, which of course we can't discuss, I would ask them for a
nominal payment up front even if its only a quarter of what you
expect to get in the end.
