A police investigation has begun in Norway after a toilet
exploded at a motorway service station. The explosion
scattered sewage all over a picnic area at the services
on the E16 motorway, near Voss. Norwegian internet
news site Nettavisen says a single toilet roll was all
that survived the explosion.
Forty-five people have been injured when a man threw
a hand grenade at a Sarajevo disco because the bouncers
there threw him out. Police arrested a 22-year old within
minutes of the blast. He was apparently enraged because
he was thrown out of the club for burly behaviour. He walked
to his car, pulled the grenade out of the trunk and hurled it
at the roof of the disco. Several hundred guests were inside
the building at the time of the explosion, which caused plaster
and splinters to fall from the roof, injuring 45 people.
A man has been arrested after a stolen milk float was
in a collision with a police car. Police in Merseyside
were called shortly after 1am to reports that a milk float
had been stolen in Bromborough. Officers at the scene
arrested a 19-year-old man after the float collided with
two parked cars and a stationary police vehicle, a police
spokeswoman says.
